The State of Birds in Switzerland. Report 2015
In its new publication, The State of Birds in Switzerland. Report 2015, the Swiss Ornithological Institute offers a brief overall appraisal: How well are breeding and visiting birds in Switzerland doing? What are the newest trends of threatened as well as widespread species?
This annual report summarises the results of our various monitoring projects. We conduct these in all parts of Switzerland with the support of more than 2000 volunteers and collaborators. The report offers a well-documented but easily accessible overview of the situation of Swiss birds.
The report also includes the Swiss Bird Index SBI®, thus replacing the former fact sheet. In 2015, the focus is on wetland birds.
