Paukščių stebėtojų ralis "Kuršių marios 2018" vyks spalio 12-14 d. Nemuno deltoje ir Kuršių marių pakrantėse.

Paukščių stebėtojų ralis – tai nuo 2000 metų Lietuvos ornitologų draugijos  (LOD) organizuojamos tarptautinės varžybos, kurių metu dalyvių komandos tarpusavyje rungiasi, kuri per nustatytą laiką iš anksto numatytoje vietovėje pamatys daugiau paukščių rūšių, juos galima atpažinti ne tik pamačius, bet ir išgirdus balsą. Tai daugiausiai dalyvių pritraukiančios paukščių stebėtojų varžybos Baltijos šalyse, kuriose jau dalyvavo daugiau nei 11 šalių atstovai. Šio ralio maršrutas driekiasi po visą Nemuno žemupį, Kuršių marių ir Baltijos jūros pakrantes – ten, kur susitelkia didžiausi migruojančių paukščių būriai – komandos paukščių ieško važinėdamos automobiliais, todėl šios varžybos ir vadinamos raliu. Nuo įprastų ralio varžybų jos skiriasi tuo, kad čia nėra tikslios trasos ir greičio ruožų, o laikas svarbus tik tiek, kad visi dalyviai laiku sugrįžtų į finišą. Vieną komandą sudaro tiek stebėtojų, kiek telpa į vieną automobilį, nors turi būti ne mažiau dviejų žmonių. Laimi ne tie ekipažai, kurie greičiausiai važiavo, bet kuri komanda per varžyboms skirtą laiką aptiko daugiausiai paukščių rūšių. Sėkmę ir pergalę šiose varžybose lemia paukščių pažinimas, varžybų vietovės žinojimas, kruopštus planavimas, paukščių stebėjimo įgūdžiai ir, visgi, sėkmė. Juk kartais gali būti netoliese retos rūšies, bet paskutiniu momentu pasukti ne tuo keliu. Ilgesnis užregistruotų paukščių rūšių sąrašas parodo didesnį paukščių stebėtojų komandos profesionalumą. Kviečiame komandas registruotis į paukščių stebėtojų ralį "Kuršių marios 2018", kuris vyks šių metų spalio 12-14 dienomis turizmo komplekse „Mėlynasis karpis“ (Kintų žuvininkystės tvenkiniai), Kintuose (Šilutės r.). Pagrindinė varžybų diena yra spalio 13 d.

Pirmieji užsiregistravę renginio dalyviai bus apgyvendinti svečių namuose „Žvejų užeiga“ ir viešbutyje „Pelikanas“. Esant gausesniam dalyvių skaičiui, jų apgyvendinimas bus organizuojamas gretimose kaimo turizmo sodybose – „Mingės egzotika“ ir kt.

LOD tarybos sprendimu, šiais metais LOD sekretoriatas nepadengs draugijos narių nakvynės išlaidų dalies, tačiau bus padengtos kitos, su renginiu susijusios išlaidos (renginio mokestis, bus pasirūpinta renginio uždarymo vakariene), kiekvieną komandą aprūpins būtina informacine medžiagą ir pan.  

Moksleiviams ir studentams (išskyrus doktorantus) galima nemokama nakvynė naujai suremontuotoje Ventės rago ornitologinėje stotyje (VROS). Registruojantis būtinai nurodykite tokį pageidavimą. Pusryčiais reikės pasirūpinti savarankiškai, taip pat nakvynei VROS būtina turėti savo miegmaišius. Vietų skaičius VROS yra ribotas, todėl lieka galioti pirmumo (ankstesnės registracijos) taisyklė. Gavę tokią galimybę bus informuoti individualiai.

Varžybų atidarymas bei rezultatų aptarimas vyks turizmo komplekso „Mėlynasis karpis“ (www.kintai.lt) didžiojoje pavėsinėje. 

Išankstinė registracija būtina! Užpildytą Registracijos anketą prašome atsiųsti el. paštu: justina@birdlife.lt iki spalio 3 d. Draugija negarantuoja nakvynės vėliau užsiregistravusioms komandoms. Kartu prašome atsakingai registruotis, ypač prašant nakvynės, nes iš anksto rezervuojamas kambarių skaičius, planuojami užkandžiai furšetui. Taip pat norime informuoti, jog jau kelis metus, paskutiniu momentu atsisakius nakvynės arba neatvykus komandoms ar atskiriems jų nariams, LOD patyrė nemažus finansinius nuostolius, nes iš draugijos lėšų dengė rezervuotų (nors ir neužimtų) kambarių kaštus. Registracijos mokestis. LOD nariams registracijos mokestis netaikomas. Ne draugijos nariams - 15 Eur asmeniui.  

Apgyvendinimo mokestis: Paukščių stebėtojų ralio dalyviams svečių namuose „Žvejų užeiga“ ir viešbutyje „Pelikanas“ vienam asmeniui nakvynė su pusryčiais kainuos 18 Eur parai, o renginio laikui – 36 Eur. „Mingės egzotika“ (Mingės kaime) viešbutyje vienam asmeniui nakvynė su pusryčiais 23 Eur parai, o renginio laikui – 46 Eur. Anksčiausiai užsiregistravusieji bus apgyvendinti svečių namuose „Žvejų užeiga“ ir viešbutyje „Pelikanas“.

Birdwatching Rally "Curonian Lagoon 2018" will be organized in Nemunas delta on 12-14 October, 2018. Birdwatching Rally "Curonian Lagoon 2018" – is a traditional event of the Lithuanian Ornithological Society, which this year will be organised for the nineteenth time. During this international competition, teams are looking for the bird species in the selected territory of the coastal Lithuania. Every year event is attracting more and more birdwatchers from different countries as it’s the largest birdwatching event in the Baltics. Birdwatchers from more than 11 countries have attended competition in the previous years. The teams compete with each other in order to record as many bird species as possible not only from their appearance, but also from their voices within a fixed time. Rally route crosses the Nemunas Delta area as well as Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea coasts as the Baltic Flyway is crossing Lithuania.

The covered territory is large, therefore all teams drive around by cars and consequently the event is called a rally, but not an ordinary one, as there is no precise route or speed strips. The only official criterion here is to finish on time and to reach the finish line. The success in the Birdwatching Rally is guaranteed to those, who have enough species identification knowledge, birdwatching in the field conditions experience and allocate time for precise planning. The prize for the 1st place goes to the team that records the highest number of bird species. However, sometimes the success is one of the factors, which decides the winning team. The longer list of the registered species also proves the higher birdwatching professionalism and skills of the teams. We kindly inviting teams to register to the Birdwatching Rally “Curonian Lagoon 2018”, which will be organised as usually, in the coastal region of Lithuania around the Curonian Lagoon on the 12-14 of October, 2018. "Curonian Lagoon 2018" rally Event will be held in Kintai (Šilutė district), guesthouse „Žvejų užeiga“ (Kintai fishponds area). The main day of the Competition – 13 October 2018.

The first registered participants will be accommodated at the guest house „Žvejų užeiga“. In case of large number of participants, the rest will be accommodated in the neighbouring farmsteads (i.e. Mingės egzotika“ etc.)

Following decision of the LOD board, partial reimbursement of the accommodation expenditures will not be applied, however the LOD secretarial will cover other expenditures of the LOD members related to the event organisation (registration fee, dinner at the closing event). Every team will be supplied with relevant info material.

Schoolchildren and students (except for PhD students) can stay for free at the newly renovated premises of the Ventes Ragas Ornithological Station (VROS). Please indicate this request while registering. Please note, that in this place you’ll be responsible for your breakfast. The sleeping bag is needed for the accommodation at the VROS as well. The number of the available places is limited, therefore the first registered participants will get possibility to stay at VROS. Participants will be informed about accommodation at VROS individually.

Opening of the competition and results’ announcement will be organised at the pavilion of “Žvejų užeiga“ (www.kintai.lt).

An advance registration is required! Please fill in the Registration form and submit it by email justina@birdlife.lt until 3 October 2018 at the latest. LOD does not guarantee accommodation for the teams with late registration. We kindly asking participants to be responsible, as it related to the event expenditures. Please note, that during the last years, the LOD had to cover accommodation expenditures of participants, who call their participation back during the last day. Registration fee. Registration fee is not applied for the members of the LOD. Registration fee for non-members of the LOD is 15 EUR per person.

Accommodation

For the participants of the rally accommodation (including breakfast) at the guest house „Žvejų užeiga” and hotel “Pelikanas” will cost 18 EUR/day/person in the double room, for the whole event 36 EUR/person in the shared room. „Mingės egzotika“ (Mingė village) for 1 person will cost 23 EUR/day, for the whole event 46 EUR. “Early birds” will be accommodated in the Event place – „Žvejų užeiga“ and hotel “Pelikanas”, while later registered teams can be accommodated in  „Mingės egzotika“ or in the neighbouring farmsteads in a distance up to some kilometres.
